Torch & Keystone Clubs Receive HALO Award
Dec 2012
The BGCA/TeenNick HALO (Helping And Leading Others) Award aims to elevate the importance of service by recognizing local Boys & Girls Clubs who engage their members in significant service–learning activities throughout the year. Clubs that receive this prestigious award demonstrate a sound commitment to good character and citizenship through the effective promotion and implementation of meaningful service activities.
Some of the activities our Torch & Keystone members participated in to win this award include raising funds for Hurricane Sandy victims and collecting money and food for the "Hope for the Homeless" project.
Nikki, Keystone Club President, spends her Saturday outside Walmart and Kmart along with other Keystone Club members collecting money and food items for the "Hope for the Homeless" Project. We are proud of our Keystone Club and their efforts to help those less fortunate than themselves.
